Insurance

ARE YOU ADEQUATELY COVERED?

We strongly recommend you to get adequate travel insurance, which would cover medical expenses, possibly lost properties, theft, and robbery or specific activities (for example if you are joining a trip which goes to high altitude, you must check that you are covered up to the maximum altitude of the trip).

There are four main elements that travel insurance should cover:
  1. Medical Assistance for sudden illness or injury.
  2. Emergency Medical Evacuation.
  3. Trip Cancellation Reimbursement.
  4. Equipment, Loss, Theft or Damage.

We urge our customers to have travel insurance. TREK Iceland accepts no responsibility for losses or expenses due to delays, changes of flights, or other services or because of strikes, accidents, sickness, damage, negligence, weather, war, changes in schedules, or other similar causes. TREK Iceland does not assume responsibility for accidents or death that can be traced to the participant'’s negligence, acts of third parties or exterior circumstances such as weather, natural occurrences, war or other similar causes. We strongly recommend you to get adequate travel insurance, which would cover medical expenses, possibly lost properties, theft, and robbery or specific activities (for example skiing or if you are joining a trip which goes to high altitude, you must check that you are covered up to the maximum altitude of the trip).
