Weather in Iceland
Read more about us
Weather in Iceland is an adventure in itself although the climate in Iceland is relatively mild despite its northerly location. The Gulf stream sends us warm currents all year around so along the coast we normally do not have severe low temperatures.
It's extremely unpredictable and changes frequently. One of the most challenging things about the weather is the fact that it can change from very good to very bad quite quickly, although it does also work the other way around. We suggest that you dress in layers, this way you are prepared for anything.
There are excellent weather forecasting websites that can help a lot when preparing your trip in Iceland. There is the Icelandic one www.vedur.is/en and then it’s the Norwegian one www.yr.no. It's always good to have a look at the forecast before preparing for the day, just remember that it can always change and therefore good to be prepared for any weather condition.
