Trek 05 - A beautiful and scenic hike to the highest waterfall in Iceland located inside the agrarian fjord of the Whales, Hvalfjordur.

We pick you up at the accommodation in Reykjavik and continue towards the beautiful fjord, Hvalfjordur (e. Whale Fjord). Hvalfjordur offers a view over unforgettable landscapes and a unique panoramic view you will never forget. We will head to Botnsdalur, a valley known for its stunning nature and the 198 m (0.12 mi) high Glymur Waterfall. Once we reach the end of the road we start our hike and set on a 2.5-hour hiking tour through immense canyons, a lush birch forest and enigmatic lava fields. During our hike, we will come across a small cave named Thvotthellir or "washing cave". Through the cave, you will be able to see the wonder that awaits us, Glymur. The majestic waterfall situated in a fertile oasis where a clear and joyous stream runs among moss and tall grass.
