Iceland is a great place for cross country ski training. The glacier Langjokull is the second largest glacier in Iceland and always with a snow, it's possible to come here any time of the year for training. Trek Iceland offer a three day tour to Langjokull every week and transportation to and from the glacier. Harry Prince with his team choose to come here to train for his expedition to Antartica (The South Pole) http://walkingwiththewounded.org.uk/southpole2013/the-challenge/the-race/
Iceland is a great place for cross country ski training, the glacier Langjokull is the second largest glacier in Iceland and great place for ski training. Harry Price and his team choose Iceland for ski training for expedition to the South Pole. It´s interesting to follow his expedition but you can see him live on the way here http://walkingwiththewounded.org.uk/ this is great chance to see how expeditions work but cross country skiing expeditions is probably one of the hardest thing you can do. To be able to survive in winter conditions you need a lot of training and Iceland is probably one of the best places in the world to practice winter mountaineering. Trek Iceland want to let you know about the tour to Langjokull Nordic ski tour.
